Matchi Safety & Community Guidelines

1. Matchi Is for Adults Only

You must be at least 18 years old to use Matchi.

Individuals under 18 may not:

• Create a Matchi account
• Appear as the primary subject of a dating profile
• Use Matchi to communicate with adults for dating purposes
• Misrepresent their age to gain access to Matchi

If we reasonably believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we may immediately suspend or terminate the account while we investigate.

If you believe someone using Matchi is under 18, report the account immediately.

2. Respect Is Required

Matchi is intended for consensual interactions between adults.

You may not use Matchi to:

• Harass another person
• Threaten or intimidate someone
• Stalk another person
• Bully or shame another user
• Send repeated unwanted messages
• Pressure someone into continuing a conversation
• Pressure someone to meet in person
• Make credible threats of violence
• Encourage violence against another person
• Discriminate against or attack people based on protected characteristics
• Send unwanted sexually explicit content
• Engage in sexual harassment
• Retaliate against someone for rejecting, blocking, unmatching, or reporting you

No means no. Silence does not mean yes.

If someone stops responding, declines an invitation, unmatches you, blocks you, or otherwise indicates that they do not want further contact, respect that decision.

3. Consent

Consent is fundamental to every interaction on Matchi.

Consent should be:

• Freely given
• Informed
• Specific
• Mutual
• Reversible at any time

Someone agreeing to chat does not mean they agree to meet.

Someone agreeing to meet does not mean they consent to physical or sexual activity.

Someone previously consenting to an activity does not mean they consent to it again.

A person may withdraw consent at any time.

Matchi has zero tolerance for sexual violence, sexual coercion, exploitation, or non-consensual sexual activity.

Accounts credibly associated with such conduct may be permanently removed and, where appropriate or legally required, information may be preserved or disclosed to relevant authorities.

4. Sexual Content

Matchi is a dating platform, and conversations about dating, relationships, attraction, and sexuality may naturally occur.

However, users may not:

• Send unsolicited sexually explicit images
• Send sexually explicit messages after someone asks them to stop
• Pressure another user to provide intimate photographs or videos
• Threaten to distribute intimate material
• Distribute intimate images without the depicted person's consent
• Use Matchi to facilitate sexual exploitation
• Solicit sexual activity involving minors
• Post content depicting sexual violence or exploitation

Matchi may remove content or accounts that violate these rules.

5. Protect Your Personal Information

Be cautious about how much personal information you provide to someone you have recently met.

Consider avoiding sharing information such as:

• Your home address
• Your workplace location
• Social Security number
• Banking information
• Credit-card information
• Account passwords
• Authentication codes
• Government identification documents
• Private security information
• Information that could be used to access your accounts

Be particularly cautious when another user quickly attempts to move the conversation away from Matchi.

Moving to text messaging, social media, or another messaging application may reduce Matchi's ability to investigate inappropriate behavior occurring outside our Services.

6. Never Send Money

Never send money to someone you meet through Matchi.

This includes:

• Wire transfers
• Cryptocurrency
• Gift cards
• Payment applications
• Bank transfers
• Checks
• Cash
• Investments
• Purchases made on another person's behalf

Be cautious if someone:

• Claims to have an emergency
• Requests money for travel
• Requests help paying medical expenses
• Claims to be temporarily unable to access their money
• Promotes an investment opportunity
• Encourages cryptocurrency trading
• Requests gift cards
• Requests your banking credentials
• Requests verification codes
• Pressures you to act quickly

Scammers frequently attempt to establish emotional trust before requesting money.

If someone you meet through Matchi asks you for money, consider ending communication and reporting the account.

7. Romance and Investment Scams

Romance scams can develop over days, weeks, or months.

Someone may appear attentive, affectionate, or emotionally invested before requesting money or financial information.

Warning signs may include:

• Quickly declaring strong romantic feelings
• Consistently avoiding video calls or in-person meetings
• Claiming to live or work overseas
• Repeated emergencies
• Requests for financial assistance
• Requests involving cryptocurrency
• Investment opportunities that appear unusually profitable
• Pressure to move conversations away from Matchi
• Inconsistent personal information
• Attempts to isolate you from friends or family who question the relationship

Do not allow emotional pressure to override financial caution.

8. Meeting Someone in Person

Meeting someone from Matchi is your decision.

Before meeting someone for the first time, consider taking reasonable precautions.

Meet in Public

For initial meetings, choose a populated public location such as a restaurant, coffee shop, museum, or similar venue.

Avoid meeting for the first time at:

• Your home
• Their home
• An isolated location
• A hotel room
• Another private location where leaving could be difficult

Tell Someone Where You're Going

Consider telling a trusted friend or family member:

• Who you are meeting
• Where you are meeting
• When you expect to return
• How they can contact you

Consider sharing your live location with someone you trust during the meeting.

Control Your Transportation

Whenever possible, arrange your own transportation to and from the meeting.

Having independent transportation allows you to leave whenever you choose.

Stay in Control

Be aware of your alcohol or substance consumption.

Never pressure another person to consume alcohol or drugs.

Do not leave drinks unattended, and do not accept an opened drink from someone you do not trust.

Trust Your Judgment

You may leave a date at any time.

You do not owe someone additional time, conversation, affection, physical contact, or an explanation for leaving.

9. Identity and Impersonation

Users must represent themselves honestly.

You may not:

• Impersonate another person
• Create a profile using another person's identity without permission
• Use misleading photographs intended to deceive other users
• Falsely claim to represent Matchi
• Falsely claim professional credentials for deceptive purposes
• Operate an account primarily to deceive, defraud, or manipulate others

Matchi may use technical, automated, or manual measures to detect suspicious or fraudulent accounts.

Where identity or photo verification functionality is available, verification indicates only that Matchi's verification process was completed.

Verification is not a background check and does not guarantee that a person is safe or trustworthy.

10. Fake Profiles, Bots, and Spam

Users may not operate unauthorized bots, automated dating accounts, spam accounts, or fraudulent profiles.

Prohibited activity includes:

• Automated mass messaging
• Scraping user profiles
• Automated account creation
• Phishing
• Malware distribution
• Commercial spam
• Unauthorized advertising
• Coordinated fraudulent activity
• Attempts to manipulate Matchi's matching systems

Matchi may use automated systems to identify and restrict suspicious activity.

11. Violence and Dangerous Behavior

Matchi does not permit credible threats of violence or content intended to facilitate serious physical harm.

Users may not use Matchi to:

• Threaten another person
• Encourage serious violence
• Coordinate violent activity
• Stalk another person
• Facilitate human trafficking
• Facilitate sexual exploitation
• Engage in other conduct that creates a credible risk of serious harm

Matchi may take immediate action when we reasonably believe there is a serious safety risk.

This may include restricting or terminating accounts, preserving relevant information, and responding to valid emergency or legal requests where appropriate.

12. Harassment After Unmatching

Unmatching ends the connection within Matchi.

Do not attempt to circumvent another person's decision by:

• Creating another Matchi account
• Contacting them through multiple accounts
• Searching for and repeatedly contacting them on other platforms
• Asking friends to contact them
• Threatening them
• Attempting to intimidate them into reconnecting

Attempts to evade a block or unmatch may result in permanent removal from Matchi.

13. Blocking

Matchi may allow you to block another user.

Blocking may prevent that user from interacting with you through Matchi.

You do not need the other person's permission to block them.

You do not need to explain why you blocked them.

If you feel uncomfortable with an interaction, blocking the person is an appropriate option.

14. Reporting

If another user makes you uncomfortable or violates these guidelines, you may report them through Matchi's reporting functionality.

Reports may include concerns involving:

• Harassment
• Threats
• Fake profiles
• Fraud or scams
• Requests for money
• Unwanted sexual content
• Hate or discriminatory abuse
• Stalking
• Underage users
• Violence
• Sexual misconduct
• Impersonation
• Other inappropriate behavior

Matchi may review information reasonably necessary to investigate a report.

This may include profile information, account activity, relevant communications, technical information, previous reports, and other available evidence.

Submitting a report does not guarantee a particular outcome.

Matchi may take action based on the severity of the conduct, available evidence, prior violations, risk to other users, and other relevant factors.

15. What Happens After a Report

Depending on the circumstances, Matchi may:

• Take no action if we cannot substantiate a violation
• Provide a warning
• Remove content
• Restrict account functionality
• Require additional verification
• Temporarily suspend an account
• Permanently terminate an account
• Prevent creation of replacement accounts
• Preserve relevant information for safety or legal purposes
• Take other action we reasonably determine is appropriate

Matchi is not obligated to disclose confidential details about an investigation or disciplinary action involving another user.

This protects the privacy and safety of everyone involved.

16. False or Abusive Reports

Good-faith reports are encouraged.

You will not violate these guidelines merely because Matchi ultimately determines that no violation occurred.

However, deliberately submitting false reports to harass, intimidate, retaliate against, or remove another user may itself violate these guidelines.

17. Matchi AI Safety

Matchi may provide AI-powered companions, dating guidance, compatibility insights, conversation assistance, profile suggestions, and other artificial intelligence features.

These features are intended to assist you—not replace your judgment.

AI-generated information may be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, or misleading.

Do not rely solely on Matchi's AI features when deciding whether another person is trustworthy or safe.

An AI system cannot reliably determine another person's:

• Identity
• Intentions
• Criminal history
• Mental state
• Honesty
• Compatibility
• Consent
• Safety

A Matchi AI recommendation should never be interpreted as a safety certification or guarantee.

18. Matchi AI Is Not a Therapist

Matchi's AI companions and other AI-powered features may discuss dating, relationships, emotions, breakups, communication, loneliness, or other personal topics.

However, Matchi's AI is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, physician, attorney, financial advisor, or emergency service.

AI-generated responses are not professional medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice.

Users should seek qualified professional assistance when appropriate.

19. AI and Your Dating Decisions

Matchi's AI may provide suggestions about:

• What to say
• How to start a conversation
• Dating situations
• Relationships
• Profiles
• Compatibility
• Communication
• Potential next steps

These suggestions are optional.

You remain responsible for your decisions, communications, meetings, and interactions with other people.

Matchi does not guarantee that following AI-generated advice will produce a particular outcome.

20. AI Must Not Be Used to Manipulate Others

You may not intentionally use Matchi's AI functionality to facilitate:

• Fraud
• Scams
• Harassment
• Stalking
• Threats
• Sexual exploitation
• Non-consensual activity
• Impersonation
• Coercion
• Blackmail
• Phishing
• Other harmful or illegal conduct

Matchi may restrict or terminate access when AI features are intentionally misused to harm others.

21. Background Checks

Unless Matchi explicitly states otherwise for a particular feature, Matchi does not conduct comprehensive criminal background checks on every user.

The absence of a warning, report, suspension, or criminal record identified by Matchi does not mean a person is safe.

Public records may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable.

Always use your own judgment when interacting with someone you meet online.

22. Off-Platform Conduct

In certain circumstances, Matchi may take action concerning serious conduct occurring outside the Matchi platform when we receive credible information indicating that a user may pose a substantial risk to other Matchi users.

Examples may include credible allegations or evidence involving:

• Sexual violence
• Serious physical violence
• Stalking
• Human trafficking
• Sexual exploitation
• Serious fraud
• Other conduct presenting a significant safety risk

Matchi will evaluate such situations based on available information and applicable law.

23. Law Enforcement and Emergencies

Matchi is not an emergency-response service.

If you believe you or another person is in immediate physical danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services.

Matchi may cooperate with law enforcement when legally required or when permitted by applicable law in connection with a serious safety emergency.

Matchi evaluates government and law-enforcement requests in accordance with applicable law and our privacy and legal obligations.

24. Enforcement

Violations of these Safety & Community Guidelines may result in actions including:

• Content removal
• Warnings
• Feature restrictions
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent account termination
• Restrictions on creating future Matchi accounts

Severe violations may result in immediate permanent termination without a prior warning.

Matchi may consider the nature and severity of the conduct, previous violations, available evidence, risk to other users, and other relevant circumstances when determining appropriate action.

25. Our Safety Philosophy

Technology can reduce risk, but it cannot eliminate it.

Matchi may use a combination of:

• User reporting
• Blocking tools
• Automated abuse detection
• Fraud detection
• Spam detection
• Content moderation
• Human review
• Account restrictions
• Security monitoring
• Other safety measures

These safeguards do not guarantee that every harmful user, message, scam, fake profile, or dangerous situation will be detected.

Every user should continue exercising reasonable caution and judgment.

26. Contact Matchi Safety

To report an immediate concern involving a Matchi account, use the Report functionality available within Matchi whenever possible.

If you believe there is an immediate threat to someone's physical safety, contact the appropriate local emergency services rather than waiting for a response from Matchi.
